While Benz race cars were white years ago, the factory chose to replicate the red Italian-brand cars' appearance to prompt spectators to get out of their way as they approached. The front fenders of PureSpeed will display the number 10, paying homage to the Mercedes that won the 1924 Targa Florio.

The PureSpeed features a Halo that is inspired by Formula One and for enhanced safety it will replace the traditional windscreen. A bracket will be connected to the body of the vehicle for next-level protection similar to F1 standards.

Mercedes has not disclosed PureSpeed’s specific powertrain details but it's expected to inherit the SL63’s twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine. It could either inherit the 805-horsepower E Performance iteration or the 577-horsepower base variant. Regardless of its configuration, it will deliver unparalleled exhilaration, making it the pinnacle of roadster performance.
