Ford introduces the new 2020 Everest Sport

Just when the world was expecting Ford will bring in the Everest Raptor, the blue-oval brand stunned all with the new variant of the SUV called the Everest Sport for 2020. The Sport variant, however, resembles the Raptor in terms of looks. 

The new 2020 Ford Everest Sport gets an aggressive front that’s dominated by the bold mesh grille ditching the three-bar grille that is seen on the Everest Titanium models. The headlamps are the same like on the other variants of the SUV. The SUV is accentuated with darkened elements all around, including the front grille, central front intake, fog lamp housings, roof rail, door mirrors and wheels. The wheels are, however, the same ones you’d find on the Everest Titanium models. Additionally, you get Sport decals at the lower end of the rear doors and EVEREST lettering, which sits just above the front grille. 

Inside the cabin, Ford has differentiated the Everest Sport from the Titanium models by blessing it with blue highlights, which can be found on the dashboard in the form of panels, seats, doors and steering. The panels on the dash are glossy that make the cabin sparkle for the good. 

Under the hood, the 2020 Ford Everest Sport is said to come with either a 3.2-litre TDCI turbocharged engine or a 2.0-litre EcoBlue BiTurbo diesel engine sourced from the Raptor in Australia. It will be a four-wheel-drive model. While the other regions of the world are expected to get the Everest Sport with a 2.0-litre EcoBlue single turbo diesel engine with only a rear-wheel-drive option.

As far as safety is concerned, the Everest Sport will come with a total of seven airbags, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning and other features that you find on the Titanium models. This model will be positioned between the Everest Titanium and the Titanium +. There has been no word on when Ford will offer it in the Middle East.
