Faraday Future Picks Ras Al Khaimah for Middle East HQ, Creating 200 Skilled Jobs

Abu Dhabi : California-based EV maker Faraday Future has chosen Ras Al Khaimah as its Middle East base. With this, they are backing the UAE’s electric mobility goals.

Faraday Future (FF), the high-tech electric vehicle manufacturer from California, is coming to the Middle East with a strong move to set up its first regional base in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

The facility will be located in the Al Hamra area of Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), and it'll represent a key part of the company’s strategy to expand globally.

This initiative aligns with the UAE’s national vision of promoting sustainability and electric mobility, since the country is pushing towards a 50 per cent electric and hybrid car mix by 2050.

New Facility and Workforce Development

The Ras Al Khaimah site will span 108,000 square feet and include:

• A corporate office for Faraday Future’s regional operations.
• An engineering workshop for vehicle-related R&D.
• A logistics and operations centre to manage distribution.
• A customer support hub for service and engagement.

FF, with an investment of AED 30 million, will probably create 200 skilled jobs. There will be positions in engineering, logistics, customer service, and operations. This will give local talent access to global EV innovation.

A Closer Look at Faraday Future’s Cars

Faraday Future’s flagship model, the FF 91, which is known for combining futuristic technology with luxury, stands out in the premium EV space. The FF 91 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds and can cover over 600 km on one full charge.

It has a 27-inch rear display, AI-powered driver assistance, and voice controls. The seats are massage-equipped so as to ensure its comfort.

The brand is also preparing to bring more affordable models under its FX label. The aim is to make advanced EV features available to a wider market. This strategy will likely strengthen its appeal in regions like the Gulf, where demand for smart and sustainable vehicles is rising.

RAKEZ’s Role and Regional Vision

RAKEZ has played a major role to help FF establish its new base. They've provided end-to-end support, from location selection to legal approvals.

What Lies Ahead for Faraday in the Gulf

Operations at the Ras Al Khaimah site will likely begin in the second half of 2025. Faraday Future is aiming to launch local research and development activities and build a regional supply chain centred in the UAE in the future.

The site will also be a launchpad for further expansion into Europe and North Africa. This will underline the country’s growing importance in global EV plans.
