2025 Nissan Kicks unveiled with a new engine and all-wheel-drive option

ABU DHABI: The 2025 Nissan Kicks has been revealed ahead of its world premiere on March 29 at the 2024 New York International Auto Show. It has been completely revamped and comes with increased dimensions and a modern design. The crossover SUV now offers an all-wheel-drive system option and comes with a new engine. It will compete with subcompact SUVs like the Mazda CX-30 and Hyundai Kona.

The 2025 Nissan Kicks will be offered in S, SV, and SR trims like the outgoing version. Premium packages are available for SR and SV models. Notable enhancements include a Bose audio system, panoramic sunroof, steering wheel, heated seats, and remote engine start. These enhancements reflect the strategy of Nissan to integrate modern design, convenience features, and advanced technology into the new Kicks from higher segments.

The new Kicks is based on the GS Platform that also underpins the Mitsubishi X-Force. It features bold 19-inch alloy wheels and premium LED lighting. Its design features include updated LED vertical taillights and a muscular hood.

The interior of the 2025 Nissan Kicks exudes the perfect blend of flair with sophistication, boasting playful designs and interesting textures. The cabin features comfy zero-gravity seats and Bose Personal Plus speakers. A panoramic sunroof and 12.3-inch infotainment screen enhance the ambience.

The 2025 Nissan Kicks is equipped with a 2.0-litre 141-hp engine mated with a CVT. The front-wheel drive remains standard but you can also opt for all-wheel drive. However, cargo space will be reduced due to mechanical components if you opt for AWD.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 remains standard in all grades and it includes blind-spot warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure warning. On Kicks SV and S models adaptive cruise control is available as standard, while the SR trim adds ProPilot Assist offered by Nissan for lane centering. This showcases the commitment of Nissan to offering better tech in its entry-level lineup.

The 2025 Nissan Kicks is expected to debut in the US by this year’s late summer. There is no confirmation yet about the launch of this car in the UAE.
