2024 Suzuki Swift Concept premieres at Japan Mobility Show 2023

ABU DHABI: Suzuki hosted the global debut of the all-new Swift Concept at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show. Despite being a concept, this model is the production version scheduled to launch in 2024. 

The all-new Swift Concept preserves a few design elements of its predecessor. However, the aerodynamics has been enhanced by revamping the entire bodywork. The upcoming fourth generation of the hatchback is defined by a honeycomb grille that is slightly smaller than its predecessor. The Suzuki logo has been positioned below the clamshell hood.

The front fascia has a sharper look as the sleeker headlights with LED running lights and grille have been positioned beneath the bonnet line. The hatchback's rear features a new tailgate with a 'Hybrid' badge, a refreshed bumper, and C-shaped distinctive lighting elements. The design of the alloy wheels has also been changed. 

The car has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm and measures 1,695 mm in width, 3,860 mm in length, and 1,500 mm in height. The height, width, and wheelbase remain unchanged; however, the length has been reduced by 30 mm.

The interior of the Swift concept is different from the existing model. Unlike the existing model wherein the dashboard was embedded in the lower down, the Swift concept has a full-colour infotainment screen on the upper portion of the dashboard.

The Suzuki Swift Concept has a hybrid powertrain with an inline-three petrol engine, electric drive system, and VVT. The exact power figures have not been revealed, but the company is focusing on eco-friendliness and fuel efficiency. The car features a CVT that powers the front wheels.

The 2024 Suzuki Swift Concept emphasizes the "Drive&Feel" concept, shifting to experiential enjoyment from traditional consumption. The car promotes the idea of having fun while driving. 

The estimated arrival date of the road-ready 2024 Suzuki Swift in UAE is still under wraps. Currently, the all-new Swift 1.2-litre petrol engine is available in the UAE with a floating roof design and tons of safety features.
