Chery QQ

The Chery QQ nameplate is making a comeback after 11 years. The brand has positioned the QQ series as a range of affordable hatchbacks for young people. Now, the Deputy General Manager of Chery Automobile has shared images of the upcoming QQ concept car. 

It is expected to be showcased at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show. The QQ series is likely to return in an affordable electric avatar, as affordable and compact electric cars are getting popular in China and around the world.

Price

The Chery QQ price in UAE hasn’t been announced yet as the car is still a concept. We will have to wait for the production version of the car to determine its price tag. However, we expect it to be affordable for the masses.

Variants 

The all-new QQ will likely to be available in multiple variants/models, depending on the power output, battery, range, and other features.

Engine and Performance 

We don’t have any information about the Chery QQ engine or performance, but we expect it to be a fully electric hatchback with a range of at least 250-300km per charge in the base variant. It should support fast charging and is likely to be available with a front wheel drive configuration. 

Safety 

The QQ is in its concept stage, and its safety specifications haven’t been specified yet. However, we expect the car to have at least 6 airbags as standard. With a strong chassis, it is likely to have a waterproof battery pack and other safety features like lane change assist, blind spot detection, anti-lock braking system (ABS), and emergency brake assist.

Features and Specifications

We expect the Chery QQ to be a 5-seater hatchback with a spacious and futuristic cabin. Being a modern EV, it is likely to have a digital instrument console for the driver, and a multimedia touchscreen display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for all the entertainment needs. The higher variants may also get a head-up display (HUD). 

The exterior design of the Chery QQ looks futuristic and aerodynamic, thanks to the sculpted bodywork all around. It has a unique front bumper with geometrical headlights and a ‘QQ’ logo at the front. 

It gets small side mirrors and flush door handles. The tail-lights also have the same design as the headlights. It also features a small roof spoiler at the back. The QQ has strong wheel arches with big and chunky alloy wheels.
