2019 Peugeot 508 makes its Middle-East debut

ABU DHABI:  Peugeot has revealed the all-new 508, the radical saloon in the Middle-East’s market, after nine months of its global debut. As per the manufacturer, 2019 Peugeot 508 will give the saloon market a serious boost.

There is a reason for the delay of 2019 Peugeot 508 Middle-Eastern debut. The manufacturer has tweaked the compressor radiators a bit to make the engine cooling and A/C better. On the other hand, the French marque has also altered the gear ratios so that the engine can get more power.

The nameplate was first showcased at the last year’s Geneva Motor Show. This time, the unveiling was done at the French manufacturer’s all-new concept store.

2019 Peugeot 508 gets a bold front grille and on the edges hold the sharp LED headlights. Its fastback design is highlighted by the frameless windows. The side profiles also flaunt flowing lines that ingress to the rear end of the car giving it a bit sportier touch.

The premium coaster comes with a four-cylinder 1.6-litre turbocharged mill, which is capable of returning a maximum power of 165 hp along with a peak torque of 240 Nm. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox for the transmission duties and the power is sent to the front wheels.

Getting inside the car, the manufacturer’s trademark i-Cockpit rocks the entire scene. It includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a distinct steering wheel and a fluid infotainment system with size available from 8 to 10 inches. Also, the car comes with some quality features like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot detection, a wireless phone charger, etc.

2019 Peugeot 508 is available in three trims with a starting price of AED 90,000.
