Sporty new Genesis G70 launched in UAE

ABU DHABI: Genesis has a very exciting car lineup on display till now. The Korean company has now launched its smallest, yet sportiest, offering in the form of the G70 in Dubai Downtown at the Armani Hotel.

The Genesis G70 is available in a total of 11 exterior colour tones along with six interior schemes. The designing has been influenced by many greats in the luxury car segment and the blend is smooth and superb. The major highlights of the G70 are the large hexagonal front grille with mesh design, sleek headlamps and large and sporty 19-inch wheels. At the back, the rear bumper is flanked by black cladding and chrome piping. Two chrome-garnished oval exhaust tips sit on each of the sides.

Under the hood, there is a performance car monster disguised in the form of a 3.3-litre, V6 twin-turbo engine which roars on the rev bar and exhaust note each time you press the accelerator pedal. This engine is capable of making a maximum power of 365 PS along with a humongous torque of 510 Nm. The power is sent down to the wheels of the Genesis G70 via a smooth 8-speed automatic unit.

The new Genesis G70 also has a smaller 2.0-litre engine model which produces just 249 PS of power and 353 Nm torque. However, despite the low specs on paper, the car isn’t that slow actually.

The Genesis G70 is happily sporty and can clock a 0-100 kmph round in just 4.7 seconds, thus making it a competitor in the performance car segment. Also, there are five drive modes mated to the mechanics, which are Comfort, Eco, Smart, Sport, and Custom. However, the G70 is not an outright performance car as it has been tuned more to be a delight for everyday cruising in the city.

The Genesis G70 is just a perfect choice for the people who are inclined towards the sporty affair but don’t want to compromise on comfort and luxury either. The automobile enthusiasts and prospect customers might now be spoilt for choice over which colour to choose.
