Porsche introduces new cockpit design for Cayenne

ABU DHABI: Porsche blends the analogue legacy of the 911 with the digital landscape of the Taycan electric sedan with the new Porsche Cayenne. The 2024 Porsche Cayenne is a redesigned mid-size crossover SUV with a heavily revamped interior, revised styling and a selection of updated drivetrains. The 2024 Cayenne premiered on April 18, 2023, at the Auto Shanghai show.

The cockpit of the 2024 Cayenne has three screens: a 12.3-inch central display, a 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.9-inch passenger display. The Porsche Driver Experience features versatile individualization, a fully digital display and easy operation. All the important controls surround the steering wheel. 

The redesigned cockpit of the 2024 Porsche Cayenne melds design elements from the brand's iconic nameplates. Porsche has used an anti-glare filter from the Taycan to eliminate reflections in the new Cayenne.  

The start button is on the left side of the reworked steering wheel. What remains standard is that the drive-mode selector is attached to the wheel. Porsche migrated the gear selector to the dash on the steering wheel's right side from the center console. The instrument cluster is a fully digital, 12.6-inch curved, free-standing display. It does not have a hood cover which gives the car a contemporary, sleek look. 

The air-conditioning control panel has a black panel design and a glass surface giving it a regal appearance. Adjusting the air-conditioning is extremely easy because of the neatly laid-out control surface. 

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne will be offered in three new paint colours: Montego Blue Metallic, Algarve Blue Metallic and Arctic Grey. It will be available in both long roof and coupe variants when it goes on sale.
