Porsche 718 Boxster Spyder- What’s special about this limited edition?

The Porsche 718 Boxster Spyder is a special and limited edition of the range-topping 982-gen Boxster variant, which was introduced three years ago, in 2016. The car looks exciting from the outset. From chic looks to mean engine, it seems to have everything that an auto enthusiast craves for. Since, it’s a limited edition model, owning one in Abu Dhabi would certainly be challenging. 

Aesthetically, the roadster is ravishing from the outset with a wide front that adorns a facelifted bumper, restyled LED headlamps, slim-looking LED running lights, a front spoiler towards the bottom and an additional vent in front of the trunk lid. The side profile accentuates new wheels and a better rear fender than that on the 718 Boxster. 

The rear section of the roadster gets refreshed taillights and decklid. The rear bumper gets a diffuser, which is surrounded by round pipes. This diffuser on the 718 Boxster Sypder is an improved one with the ability to increase downforce by about 50 percent. 

Inside the cabin, there are a lot of similar features that can also be found inside the 718 Boxster. Some of them are voice-control navigation module, audio interface, communication management system and a 110W Sound Package Plus. Additionally, there is an optional Connect Plus module that enables you to access different online services, Apple CarPlay and navigation.

At heart, the Porsche 718 Boxster Spyder gets the most powerful and the largest powerhouse Porsche has ever fitted inside an entry-level vehicle. It gets a 4.0-litre flat-six engine that churns out 414 PS of power and 419 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a manual 6-speed transmission system. It is said to have a top speed of 301 Kmph and can accelerate from standstill to 100 Kmph in just 4.4 seconds. It weighs 1,420 kilograms.

As per the Porsche, the model is slated to be released next spring, the 718 Boxster Spyder will be priced at $ 97,550 (AED 3,58,301).
