Pagani Imola Roadster breaks cover, production limited to just 8 units

ABU DHABI: Pagani has come up with the Imola Roadster, the Imola hypercar's convertible version. It seems to be inspired by the track-focused Huayra R and is limited to only eight units. Its open-top version, named Imola Coupe, had only five units produced.

The hypercar gets power from the AMG-developed 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 version found in the standard Huayra. It produces 1100 Nm of torque between 5,600 and 3600 rpm and 838 hp at 5,600 rpm with the help of a seven-speed Xtrac sequential gearbox. 

The Pagani Imola Roadster does not prioritise top speed. It focuses on providing exceptional aerodynamic efficiency, aiming for a downforce of 600 kg at 280 kmph. All the aspects of this car focus on enhancing lap times and performance. 

The design team has incorporated various elements to enhance the performance of the Pagani Imola Roadster. A few of these features include larger front air intakes, wheel-arch openings, and a dual warm-air outlet to reduce pressure and improve stability. A roof scoop has been incorporated for ample air intake, and the central fin contributes to the car's stability. Other key inclusions are - a rear diffuser, rear wheel-arch air vents, tail lights, and a substantial rear wing. 

Built on a 'Carbo-Titanium' tub of Pagani, the Imola Roadster weighs around 1,260 kg, thanks to the unique combination of specialized paint and composite materials contributing to further weight reduction.

The price of this limited edition car has not been revealed yet, but you can expect it to be in the millions as just eight units of this car are being produced.
