Hyundai Ioniq 5 embarks on ASEAN tour to showcase the vehicle's efficiency

ABU DHABI: Hyundai recently staged a special drive-themed "Go Far with Zero Worries" with the Ioniq 5 electric car. This demonstrated the potential of the Ioniq 5 to cover long distances without causing any environmental issues. This event ensured that the Ioniq 5 can make electric mobility fuss-free in Southeast Asia.

During the event, the Ioniq 5 covered 3,197 kilometres across 5 Southeast Asian countries with a total travel cost of around USD 116 (AED 422). This demonstrated that the Ioniq 5 is more budget-friendly than the cars with internal combustion engines. 

President of Hyundai Motor ASEAN HQ, Youngtack Lee, emphasized the commitment of Hyundai to shaping the future of mobility. Lee expressed his joy over the success of the Ioniq 5's ASEAN Tour, committing to intensify innovation to strengthen the EV infrastructure across the region.

The Ioniq 5 ASEAN eco-run featured local influencers, Association of Singapore participants, and Thailand and Indonesia opinion leaders. Influencer Nithi Thuamprathom stated that the tour showcased the reliability, style, and comfort of the Ioniq 5. The first Indonesian Ioniq 5 owner, Fitra Eri, highlighted that the tour dispelled concerns about charging station availability and city limits, allowing you to enjoy long-distance drives without any worries. The event addressed concerns about EV performance. 

The innovative Vehicle to Load feature of the Ioniq 5 transforms it into a charging port, benefiting local communities and tour participants. The Ioniq 5 allows users to utilize its electrical capabilities for providing on-the-go electricity and powering gadgets.
