BMW adds a performance model to the X1 lineup

ABU DHABI: BMW has come up with an all-new performance model called the 2024 X1 M35i xDrive. It combines the precision and power of an M model and the versatility of a compact Sports Activity Vehicle. 

BMW has installed a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the new 2024 X1 M35i xDrive that employs M TwinPower Turbo technology. In Europe, it produces a maximum of 300 horsepower, and in the United States and other markets, it produces 317 horsepower. It can sprint 0 to 100 kmph in 5.4 seconds and can reach a top speed of 250 kmph. 

The highest output produced by the engine is between 5,750 and 6,500 rpm. However, the peak torque of 400 Nm can be achieved between 2,000 and 4,500 rpm. 

The new 2024 X1 M35i xDrive comes with some of the best M-specific features like M chassis technology, a 7-speed clutch Steptronic transmission, and optional M Compound brakes. Another major highlight is the M Sport Boost option for quick bursts of speed.

The new BMW X1 M35i xDrive’s standard feature is the adaptive M suspension, whose frequency-selective and mechanically adjustable dampers assist long-distance comfort. 

Design-wise, the new 2024 X1 M35i xDrive shows the difference with M-specific exterior elements, including side skirt extensions, a roof spoiler, a front apron with larger air intakes, and a rear apron with a diffuser inlay.

In the standard configuration, the cabin exudes an athletic ambience. It also comes with some pricey additionals like M Sport seats. Key highlights include:

The all-new 2024 BMW X1 M35i xDrive will go on sale in the US in October this year. There is no information yet available about its launch in the UAE.
