2019 Toyota Avanza revealed unofficially, sneak peek into the details

ABU DHABI: It seems like Toyota is going to have a busy 2019. Yet another model in its lineup, the 2019 Toyota Avanza, which has been due for revision for quite a while now. From the images surfaced online, it seems that the new Avanza is sportier, bigger and more spacious than previous iterations. Moreover, the looks seem to be inspired by big Toyota family members like the Vellfire and Alphard.

The images reveal that the 2019 Toyota Avanza is bolder than before, with new split headlamps that get the main beam placed over the top of the turn signals and auxiliary lights at the front. The front grille is now a single trim piece that’s thicker and bolder than before. There is a centre air-intake responsible for cooling duties.

Additionally, the bumpers have been reworked, now sport a wider and sharper design. Unlike before, the corners are now edgier and the bonnet, as well, has been treated a bit, for the good. The rear section of the 2019 Toyota Avanza has also received some updates in terms of design, features a rectangular tailgate design with L-shaped taillights that also get extensions.

Under the hood, the 2019 Toyota Avanza is expected to retain its old powertrain option. This means we are likely to get the new Avanza with the same engine as before, the 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i tech that churns out a max power of 103.4 PS and a peak torque of 136 Nm, mated to either 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission system.

While this unofficial reveal of the 2019 Toyota Avanza doesn’t throw any light on when the company will actually introduce it, but by the looks of it all, it seems that the official reveal and eventually launch might just be around the corner.
