2019 KIA Cerato GT set to hit the market with stunning updates

ABU DHABI: KIA Cerato GT is a complete package for the luxurious sedan segment. For the 2019 model spec, it has been given an update by the company, making the performance hatch even more powerful. Based on the Cerato GT sedan, once launched the 2019 Kia Cerato GT will compete with the likes of Honda Civic RS and Mazda3.

One of the significant change is made under the hood. The hatch now features a 1.6- litre Gamma turbocharged direct-injected (T-GDI) four-cylinder petrol engine. It is paired with a 7-speed DCT and produces 204 PS at 6,000 rpm and 265 Nm at 1,500 to 4,500 rpm.

Apart from the engine, the new 2019 KIA Cerato GT also gets a few exterior and interior changes. The new 2019 Cerato GT gives a robust on-road presence with its dark chrome grille with red inserts, as well as side skirts, a red-trimmed gloss black rear diffuser and dual exhaust tips.

The new Kia hatch offers dynamically luxurious cabin with a GT-badged flat-bottomed steering wheel, bucket seats, alloy pedals, and a six-color ambient lighting system integrated into the dash and door with a variable dot pattern.

It also sports a new chassis and rear multilink suspension providing increase stability and comfort both on the street and the tarmac. Next-gen KIA Cerato GT now offers four driving modes - Eco, Sport, Comfort, and Smart. The beauty is also equipped with an Electronic Sound Generator for a rortier engine note. Many high-end safety features like Forwarding Collision Warning and Avoidance Assist Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Warning, and High Beam Assist are offered as standard. The safety kit also includes adaptive Smart Cruise Control and Blind-spot Collision Warning.
