VINFAST VF9

The flagship product from Vinfast worldwide, the VF 9 is a full-size luxury SUV, which is the Vietnamese carmaker’s only three-row offering. Like its other stablemates, the Vinfast VF 9 is globally available in two variants – Eco and Plus, which are also expected to be offered in the UAE car market. 

Measuring 5118 mm long, 2254 mm wide, and 1696 mm tall, the Vinfast VF 9 is the largest SUV from the Vietnamese EV specialist, with it having the stance and size of a conventional full-size monocoque SUV. The front profile of the VF 9 has an avant-garde styled fascia comprising trapezoidal headlamps with LED projectors and LED DRLs and a V-themed gloss black garnished closed grille in between them.

The front bumper of the Vinfast VF 9 has C-shaped air curtains on the sides and a slim air dam in the lower central part with contrast silver accents over it. From the side, the Vinfast VF 9 looks unique with its X-themed C-pillar design, while also having 20-inch alloy wheels. The rear profile of the VF 9 has horizontally stretched wraparound tail lamps with connected LED light bars between them.

Like other Vinfast offerings, the VF 9 also has no instrument console behind the flat-bottom multi-functional steering wheel. Instead, the large 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system is the centre of attraction in the cabin of the VF 9. The centre tunnel between the front seats has vertically arranged toggle-like switches for the transmission mode while having a concealed storage box beside it. 

This flagship SUV of Vinfast comes with dual-tone black and brown leather upholstery, while packed with premium features like ambient lighting, a powered tailgate, heated and ventilated seats, a 12-way powered driver’s seat with memory settings, a 10-way powered co-driver seat, a three-zone automatic climate control with rear AC vents, 13-speaker audio system with subwoofer, wireless charger and panoramic sunroof.

Both the variants of the Vinfast VF 9 come standard with an all-wheel drive configuration, thanks to the dual-motor setup that produces 402 bhp of maximum power and 620 Nm of maximum torque. A 123kWh battery is also standard in both variants, which claims a 593 km range in the Eco variant and a 579 km range in the Plus variant. 

Globally, the colour options offered in the Vinfast VF 9 include Brahminy White, Crimson Red, Neptune Grey, Vinfast Blue, Sunset Orange, Deep Ocean, Jet Black, and Desat Silver, all of which will be retained for the UAE-spec VF 9 as well. Belonging to the full-size EV category, the Vinfast VF 9 will take on other electric SUVs like the Kia EV9, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and Tesla Model X.
