Like the exterior, the interior of the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid also has visual drama in the right amount, without going overboard, making the cabin a modern and pleasant place to be in. The cabin of the Corolla Cross Hybrid is available in a single leather upholstery option in a dual-tone black and walnut brown theme.

The Y-themed multi-functional steering wheel of the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid, which has silver accents around the vertical centre boss, looks and feels great to hold. Behind this steering wheel, the instrument console housing gets a 7-inch full-TFT screen for the display unit, which looks modern and intuitive to use. There are more satin silver accents on the door panels, across the dashboard, and in the upper, middle and lower centre consoles.

The upper centre console of the dashboard of the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid features a free-standing 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The middle centre console has sleek AC vents and controls for the automatic climate control just below them finished in a gloss black theme. From the looks of it, the new Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid has a rugged stance and boasts of a smart and good-looking road presence of a modern-day SUV. There is a hint of crossovers in its design, but it looks tall and muscular enough to call it an SUV.

At the front, the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid has a tough-looking fascia, with the all-black trapezoidal grille having curved sides finished in a dark satin theme. A pair of sleek headlamp housings, consisting of LED projectors and daytime running LEDs are attached to the upper sides of the grille. The front bumper of the Corolla Cross Hybrid looks muscular and sporty with black-themed upswept body cladding across its width, incorporating rounded LED fog lamps in the inner corners.

There is a slight visual drama in the side profile of the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid, with the SUV having smooth-looking contours over the front and rear wheel arches. In addition to the bottom of the door panels, the wheel arches also come garnished with tough-looking body cladding over them. The Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid might not be a true-blue SUV to drive, but it offers good on-road driving mannerisms with a plush setup for the suspension combination at the front and rear. With this, the Corolla Cross Hybrid provides a comfortable ride quality, which only gets better with arising speeds.

Powering the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid is a combination of a 1.8-litre four-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine and a front-mounted electric motor. While the engine produces 96.5 PS of power and 142 Nm of torque, the motor churns out 71 PS of power and 163 Nm of torque. The combined power output of the engine and motor is rated at 122 PS. The powertrain is coupled to an e-CVT, which channels the power produced to the front wheels.

The list of safety features in the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid is quite comprehensive, with inclusions like an e-call system, pre-collision system, dynamic radar cruise control, high beam assist, automatic high beam, lane departure alert, lane tracing assist, ABS with EBD, adaptive cruise control, vehicle stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, hill start assist, reverse parking sensors and camera and seven airbags.
