Hyundai Tucson Expert Review
Tucson is Hyundai’s mid-range SUV. This year it has been updated to look fresh and updated. The front and rear are redesigned and now features latest HID headlamps that look perfect on the sides of the new hexagonal grille. On the rear Hyundai has furnished LED taillamps. Like exteriors, there are some minor upgrades to its interiors, and it now comes with a thoroughly redesigned leather-trimmed front panel. Hyundai has kept many features standard on every grade while many essential ones are either optional or comes only with the top grade. Like, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Active headrests, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Rear Traffic Cross Alert, Active Bonnet System are optional. Whereas, most of its rivals offer all these safety features as standard. Moreover, Tucson is available with three engine options, 1.6 T-GDi that comes with 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission, 2.0 MPi that comes with 6-speed Automatic Transmission, and 2.0 CRD comes with 8-speed Automatic Transmission.

And, you’ll get a smart tailgate system that can be operated hands-free, it sends alerts and flashes hazard light while opening to ensure the safety of the people standing nearby.
Ride & Handling
Hyundai’s Tucson is one of the few SUV’s that offers exceptional ride quality. The newly upgraded Tucson doesn’t lean off too much while taking sharp turns and maintains the bond with the road, thanks to the well-tuned suspension. Furthermore, even while trailing off-road pursuits, this SUV maintains the balance perfectly. However, when it comes to the handling, even after all the enhancements, it’s still not the best in the class and needs further improvement. In fact, the only area where Hyundai Tucson lacks is the poor response of the steering wheel. It feels light and not well composed as per the size of the Tucson.

Braking & Safety
This year’s Tucson is more strong and safer, Hyundai has used Advanced High Strength Steel to 51% of the body. With the composed and well-engineered cabin, the safety bar raises higher. In case of an accident, the cabin is designed to outsource the crash energy away from the passengers. In terms of active safety features, Tucson is equipped with advanced tech systems. Like smart cruise control with stop and go, Blind Spot Collision Warning, Low Beam Assist, Parking Distance Warning, Driver Attention Warning, and Surround View Monitor. The front wheels are fitted with the ventilated disc with floating caliper brakes, and the rear wheels come with solid disc brakes with floating caliper brakes. Moreover, the HTRAC system maintains the vehicle speed as per the road condition by applying active torque control.

Like the front face of Tucson now features newly designed hexagonal grille, and inside the cabin, the front panel is enhanced and now comes with leather garnished trim.
