The Affordable sedan

Dongfeng's Shine is a very affordable sedan which comes in a very sporty design suitable for first time new car buyers. The Shine gets a shiny exterior design with a functional cabin. The performance comes through a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 195 PS/300 Nm, paired with a six-speed wet dual-clutch. A fairly good combination for a car of this size. At this price point of under AED 50K, the Shine gets all the necessary features like cabin comfort, automatic air-conditioning, and comprehensive safety features and a nice little 7.0-inch instrument cluster for added convenience.

Sporty SUV with coupe styling

The Shine is not yet available in UAE but whatever I have seen about this car online it is just fine in the segment. There are so many Chinese cars being launched in our market, at different price points and segments. Soon, they are going to dominate the markets. I don’t know how the other foreign brands are doing to counter this huge competition from Chinese players. The SHINE is a practical car for first time buyers and offers a lot I’m sure at a very attractive price, once it is announced.
