      Having driven the vehicle for over 1 week >700km, I used 4L of Petrol. Daily Round Trips to work 70m was all electric and when i had an family emergency the engine kicked in to deal with the extra/unplanned commute. A small lifestyle change is required, Just charge when you can like when you plan to sleep or watch a movie at the home or when your at work. Charge at home (slow 8-10 hours) 1.8kwh per hour or charge at work (free 4kwh per hour so about 4 hours). Max battery usage for all EVs is limited to 75% of the battery. And if you do not charge no worries the engine kicks in giving real world 16km per litre, (i drive conservatively max 100kmph) and use the regenerative braking 400 meters before traffic lights/stops, its small adaption that allows great fuel consumption. My max EV range is closer to 80-90km whilst i have still not emptied the fuel tank, only using 4L out of the 47L (max available before refueling, tank size 52L). So far my projected fuel consumption after 1 month will be 71km per L as there will be about 10 out of 45 trips that i will use more than the battery range, total monthly km will be 3,000km (35 trip 100% electric 2200km and 10 trips Combination 800km )

    • Great Product With Poor Support

      Been driving the EX30 for a year now. This thing is a pocket rocket. It's fast, stable, turns really well, and very comfortable cabin. However, there are really a few issues that one must avoid buying this at all cost. First, the battery can only be charged to 70%. Volvo has not fixed the issue regarding the battery on this car. It does not look like they will ever fix it. Another issue is that it does not have app connectivity so there is no way to remotely control the air conditioning given the heat in the UAE. No digital keys either. It does not work even when connected to WiFi. Software updates require 2 days of being left in the service center. Spare parts and repairs are atrocious. BE prepared to wait for several months for spare parts. Repairs take at least a week for minor works. Do not even bother putting this car in your short list.

    • No Speed Sensor Lock

      "...we would like to inform you that the speed-sensing door lock feature is not available in model year 2026 vehicles for the UAE market and is therefore not available in your vehicle. As highlighted in the brochure certain features and specifications may vary depending on the market and vehicle grade and are subject to change." I just got a Nissan Magnite SV 2026, and after a few days, I noticed the speed sensor lock wasn't working. We thought it was just off, but when I called customer service, they said that feature isn't available in the UAE. So, if you need that speed sensor lock, especially with a little one in the car, don't get this one. They won't tell you it's not available unless you ask. The central locking works, but the speed sensor lock would've given me extra peace of mind.
