Upcoming 2018 Peugeot 508 gets stylish rear - Reveals leaked images

ABU DHABI: Geneva Motor Show is just around the corner, and Peugeot is expected to bring its new flagship saloon - the 508 there. What however has taken the social media by storm and grabbed our attention are the few leaked images of this French beauty. It was at the Peugeot fan page, Peugeot Heritage where the photos were uploaded revealing the stylistic rear, based on the 2017 Peugeot concept.

What did the leaked images reveal about the Geneva expected Peugeot 508?

The car shown in the leaked images is identical to the camouflaged car that has been caught multiple times by our spy photographers. It seems that Peugeot has retained the saloon body style for the new 508, as it features a smaller boot lid accompanied by a lip spoiler.

Though the pictures didn’t reveal the cabin, the Peugeot 508 is confirmed to feature Peugeot i-Cockpit system. The said system includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, thus replacing the conventional cluttered traditional dashboard.

A closer look at the spy images tells the headlights are more or less similar to the ones seen in the shooting brake concept. However, we are not sure as to what extent the 508 will replicate the 2017 Mobile World Congress, Instinct concept.

Under its hood, Peugeot is expected to shower the 508 with a mill featuring in its larger models. We can expect the BlueHDi mill in 1.6- and 2.0-litre displacement. As for the platform, the next-generation 508 will forgo the relatively old base and replace the new PSA’s EMP2 architecture.

So, this year Peugeot will not only bring the 5008 plug-in-hybrid but is also expected to launch the new 508 officially. What do you think of the new Peugeot 508? Do let us know.
