Rolls-Royce reveals its latest convertible masterpiece, the Arcadia Droptail

ABU DHABI: Rolls-Royce has pulled the wraps off the Arcadia Droptail, a coachbuilt masterpiece celebrating purity of form and epitomizing quiet irreverence and tranquility. It represents the third installment in the Coachbuild Droptail series. The Coachbuild Droptail commission offers a unique opportunity for clients to infuse their aesthetic preferences and personal narratives into their vehicles.

The Arcadia Droptail is inspired by the concept of Arcadia, which is described as 'Heaven on Earth.' This theme is quite evident in all aspects of its craftsmanship and design. With intricate detailing and carefully chosen materials, it offers an unforgettable automotive experience to discerning clients capturing the essence of Arcadia.

The Arcadia Droptail represents the first ever modern roadster produced by Rolls-Royce, epitomizing open-top luxury. Designing its wooden sections was a huge task as it took over 8000 hours of craftsmanship. Externally, its innovative white paint and dual-tone color scheme, infused with glass and aluminum particles, enhance its silhouette with a shimmering effect that shows different effects under varying light conditions.

The Arcadia Droptail’s interior is a luxury sanctuary tailored meticulously to meet the tastes of the clients with exquisite craftsmanship and carefully selected materials. It features extensive use of wood showcasing Rolls-Royce's woodworking expertise. Inside the cabin, you can see a custom-designed dashboard clock serving as the focal point.

The powertrain details have not been disclosed for the Rolls-Royce Arcadia Droptail, but it is expected that it will have a 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine. Anticipated specifications include 664 lb-ft of torque and 563 horsepower. The price has not been disclosed but the Boat Tail hinted that the starting price can be anywhere around $28 million.
