New BMW M2 CS Unveiled – Claims 0-100kmph in 3.8 seconds

Abu Dhabi : The two-door coupe offers more power, more aggression and is also lighter than the regular M2.

BMW has revealed the new M2 CS at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2025. The CS model is known for being lighter and more focused on high performance than the standard M2 Coupe. It offers a more aggressive and stripped-down version of the coupe. This could be the last time the M2 gets a pure combustion engine. The car will be produced in limited numbers only.

2026 BMW M2 CS - Engine and Specifications

The M2 CS retains the same 3.0-liter 6-cylinder twin-turbo petrol motor of the regular M2. However, its power has increased to 530 hp and 650 Nm of torque. That’s 50 hp and 100 Nm more than before. The powertrain in this model is only paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

There is no manual option because BMW says the 6-speed manual in the standard M2 isn’t built to deal with high torque. They also mention that many buyers don’t ask for a manual, so they choose to offer only the automatic. The M2 CS can go from 0 to 100 kmph in about 3.8 seconds. With M Driver’s package, the claimed top speed is 320 kmph.

The BMW M2 CS is lighter and more focused than the regular M2. It saves weight with a carbon-fibre roof and boot lid, dropping about 30kg to a total weight of 1,700kg. The car has stiffer engine mounts, tuned springs, and dampers for sharper handling. Its steering, brakes, and differentials also witness upgrades. 

One can get an optional lightweight titanium exhaust that makes the car sound more aggressive. The suspension is lowered by 8mm, giving the car a sportier stance.

2026 BMW M2 CS - Exterior Styling

The differences between the M2 CS and the standard M2 are subtle and may be hard to spot. However, the CS model features a slightly restyled grille and new air vents on the front bumper to help the engine stay cool. The side view shows new lightweight forged alloy wheels finished in gold, which is a classic CS touch. 

The M2 CS is available in four colors: Black Sapphire, Portimao Blue, Brooklyn Grey, and Velvet Blue. The most noticeable feature of this model is the ducktail spoiler, designed to improve stability at higher speeds. It also has a larger, more aggressive rear diffuser.

2026 BMW M2 CS – Interior Comfort

The M2 CS features stylish carbon bucket seats decorated in M Performance colors. The cabin is decorated with many carbon fiber accents, and new CS logos are displayed on the seats and door sills. There's also a new M-style Alcantara steering wheel to enhance the sporty feel. 

Despite its racing focus, the CS offers comfort features like a heated steering wheel, a three-zone climate control system, a head-up display, and a Harman Kardon audio system for premium sound quality.

BMW M2 CS Launch in UAE

BMW plans to release the new 2026 M2 CS globally by late 2025. The European launch is set for June 2025. If all goes well, the car should arrive in the UAE around early 2026. The expected price is AED 480,000.
