The original Rimac Nevera, which entered production in 2022 with a price tag of $2.5 million, delivers 1,914 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.85 seconds, with a top speed of 258 mph. Upon its release, it was regarded as the fastest production car in the world.

The Nevera R features enhanced aerodynamics and a sleeker design in comparison to the standard model. With this limited edition, Rimac wants to reignite the interest of the buyers in electric hypercars. Only 40 units of this vehicle will be produced, part of the original Nevera’s production run. Despite its exceptional performance, Rimac has not been able to sell the original Nevera’s 150 units three years post-launch.

The Nevera R comes with upgraded all-wheel torque-vectoring tech that has been optimized for a revised steering rack and new Michelin Cup 2 tyres for sharper handling. It features a large front diffuser and a fixed rear wing, enhancing aerodynamic efficiency by 10% and downforce by 15%.

The R also comes with carbon-ceramic EVO2 brakes enabling it to handle its increased power. Rimac has claimed that these upgrades set a new benchmark for driving exhilaration on twisty roads. It retains the standard model’s 108kWh battery, with official range figures still undisclosed.
