Meet Hyundai Ioniq 6 N - A 641 HP Electric Powerhouse with Drift Mode

Abu Dhabi : The automaker has recently revealed a teaser showing the car in action on a track.
- The Hyundai IONIQ 6 N comes with radical styling with a front splitter, ducktail spoiler and 21-inch wheels.
- The power to run comes from the 601 hp motor that can be further boosted to produce 650 hp.
- The Hyundai IONIQ 6 N can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 3.2 seconds. It can get to a top speed of up to 260 kmph.
The high-performance electric vehicle scene is growing louder with Hyundai joining the party with its newly introduced 2025 Ioniq 6 N. This new car is a full-speed, twin-motor system that delivers 650 hp. It’s built for the track, with quick acceleration, the ability to slide sideways, and high-speed runs on the autobahn.
641 hp Powerhouse
The Ioniq 6 N packs a punch with 614 hp and 770 Nm torque, thanks to its twin electric motors. When you activate “N Grin Boost,” a temporary mode that lasts 10 seconds, the power jumps to 641 hp (478 kW). During regular driving, it produces 601 hp, which is still more than enough to make the back-end slide.
The car also features a dedicated Drift Mode and a rear electronic limited-slip differential, which help it handle sharp turns with ease.
It hits 0-100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds and can reach a top speed of 260 kmph. That puts it alongside high-performance models like the Porsche Taycan 4S. Its instant torque, all-wheel drive grip, and low centre of gravity make this car very effective on paper and in real life.
Designed to push the limits
Hyundai didn't just give it an “N” badge and stop. The Ioniq 6 N has been built to handle tough laps at the Nürburgring.
It features better cooling systems, a stronger battery pack, and larger 400 mm front brakes. The battery is the same 84.0 kWh pack found in the Ioniq 5 N, but software updates help it last longer and deliver more power in high-performance runs.
It also includes functions like “N Battery Preconditioning” and offers a “Race” mode split into “Endurance” and “Sprint.” Drivers can pick whether they want a steady, consistent drive or maximum power for a short burst.
Aggressive styling
The Ioniq 6 N has a more understated design compared to its sibling, the Ioniq 5 N. It isn’t as boxy or loud in style but still looks bold. The car rides lower to the ground and features a more aggressive look. It also comes with a front splitter, side skirts, a rear diffuser, and a new ducktail spoiler at the back.
The wheels are 21 inches wide and made from lightweight material. They come with Pirelli P-Zero tyres. The suspension system is specially tuned and includes adaptive dampers for a smoother ride.
Fake sound to feel connected
Like the sibling Ioniq 5 N, the Ioniq 6 N will come equipped with N Active Sound+. This feature plays engine sounds through the speakers, from turbocharged engine noises to jet fighter sounds. There are three sound modes: Ignition, Evolution, and Supersonic.
The system uses 10 speakers, both inside and outside the car. It might sound like a gimmick, but Hyundai says it helps drivers feel more connected to the car. They want EVs to feel less empty.
Launch
The car was debuted at Goodwood in the second week of July. As of yet, Hyundai hasn't shared any details about the price or when the Ioniq 6 N will go on sale.
