McLaren 600LT Spider new teaser is out

ABU DHABI: The teasing game is on and McLaren is having a great time at it. The British automaker has released a new teaser image of the upcoming 600LT Spider just ahead of its official reveal, which is slated to happen on Jan 16. What’s visible from the sole teaser image is the rear deck of the Longtail family member that would certainly turn heads of auto enthusiasts, journalists and fans around the globe on the coming big day.

The image reveals the rear deck of the 600LT Spider that features a larger rear spoiler and top-mounted exhaust pipes, which is also the trademark of the Longtail McLaren family. The engine’s cover has been restyled to make it shorter not just because the 600LT Spider comes with a folding hardtop but also for accommodating different buttresses. In this case, the 600LT Spider has been given the flying buttresses, just like they are on the 570S Spider.

The car’s shadow seen in the teaser video makes it evident that the car’s roof can be removed, hence there would be a folding hardtop mechanism inbuilt to support the cause. This has already ignited the excitement among fans, automotive experts and us.

Under the hood, the McLaren 600LT Spider houses a V8 twin-turbo 3.8-litre engine that churns out a max power of 600 PS and a peak torque of 620 Nm. However, if you wish to buy this extreme sports machine then better hurry because the company has announced it will be producing McLaren 600LT Spider for just 12 months.
