ABU DHABI: One of the best concepts from recent years is all set to enter into production. We are talking about the Hyundai N Vision 74, which has been officially greenlit for limited production. At its 2024 CEO Investor Day, Hyundai announced this news. The N Vision 74’s production model is anticipated to make its global launch in 2026.

    The Hyundai N Vision 74 debuted in mid-2022 as a concept featuring two rear-mounted electric motors that generate over 679 hp. Powered by a 95-kW hydrogen fuel cell and 62.4-kWh battery, it offers over 595 km range with a 5-minute hydrogen refill.

    As per reports, the Hyundai's N Vision 74 is scheduled for an exclusive production run. It is estimated that only 200 units will be produced globally. Each of these limited-edition variants is anticipated to cost more than $300,000 (AED 1,101,750).

    In Hyundai's upcoming electric vehicle lineup, the N Vision 74 will stand out as a highlight among a diverse array of EVs, including mid-range options, mass-market models, high-performance vehicles, and luxury variants. This limited production model showcases the brand's commitment to offering premium and unique options within its expanding electric portfolio. By 2030, Hyundai is expected to introduce 21 new EV models, signalling a strong push towards electrification and innovation in their vehicle offerings.

    The design of the Hyundai Vision 74 is inspired by the Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo that was unveiled in 2015 and the 1974 Pony Coupe concept.

    The Vision 74 seems to be inspired by a hybrid hydrogen fuel cell system that was present in Hyundai’s virtual supercar. However, there may be some differences in the final production model. Hyundai also revealed plans for a variety of powertrain options, including plug-in hybrids, EVs, ICE, hybrids, hydrogen fuel cells, and extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs).
