Honda provides sneak peek of the upcoming EV and reveals Prologue details

ABU DHABI: World’s leading car makers are getting serious about electric vehicles. With climate change and governments moving to curb emissions, even sceptical consumers are buying EVs. And Honda doesn’t want to stay behind in the EV segment. The Japanese automaker has recently made some important disclosures during a business meeting in Japan about its electrification strategy. The spokespersons hinted that a new electric vehicle may be launched in 2025.

    The 2024 Prologue SUV will be constructed on the General Motors-designed Ultium platform. It will have all-wheel drive and will be aimed at car enthusiasts who want an SUV with BEV’s zero-emission technology. 

    There seems to be an explosion in the number of electric vehicles in the market. Many automakers are rolling out innovative models of electric cars, and Honda is also trying to extend its footprint in the EV segment. GM Enterprises and Honda are working together on an accessible electric lineup scheduled to launch in 2027. 

    The company has not yet revealed whether it will launch the 2024 Prologue in UAE.
