ABU DHABI : Ford Motor Company has launched its advanced Parts Distribution Center (PDC) in Dubai South, which marks a significant step in enhancing customer satisfaction in the Middle East.

    Ford New Facility to Store 100K+ Spare Parts

    The goal of this new facility is to enhance operational efficiency. Ford aims to speed up delivering spare parts of its automobiles to customers and streamline inventory management. The facility has the capacity to store approximately 100,000 different parts. Naturally, it is likely to serve numerous markets in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Ghana, and Angola.

    The PDC features advanced technologies like drones to monitor inventory. It also has an SAP S/4HANA warehouse management system and promises to enhance accuracy while reducing error margins. Ford customers will experience faster and more reliable services with this centre being developed.

    Ford Remains Committed to Sustainability

     Ford largely defines its commitment to sustainability while developing its new Parts Distribution Center in Dubai South. By 2025, the company plans to install a 400kW solar panel system here, which will slash energy costs by 35% and mitigate carbon emissions by 290 tons annually. The facility also collaborates with eco-friendly suppliers and recycling partners to ensure responsible disposal of wastes. 

    FordFord has also integrated this new project with safety features like raised floors to keep away risks like flooding. It also remains protected with an advanced fire suppression system that would minimize disruptions in its operations.

     The President of Ford International Markets Group, Kay Hart, explained the importance of the new PDC. He stated that the launch of this facility shows their dedication to enhance customer satisfaction as the company will reduce their waiting times and improve the quality of services. It reinforces Ford’s commitment to the Middle East.

    Ako Djaf, the Vice President of DB Schenker for the Middle East and Africa stated that the new centre in Dubai South reflects the power of innovation and collaboration. Besides streamlining the supply chain, it supports Ford’s vision of delivering exceptional service and meets sustainability goals.
