Ford launches Expedition Turath to pay tribute to UAE

ABU DHABI: A very special edition of Ford Expedition has been launched by Al Tayer Motors, the official importer and dealer of Ford vehicles in UAE. The new edition is designed specifically for the UAE to pay tribute to the nation’s rich heritage.

Helal Hanei Omar, Senior Vice-President of Ford, Al Tayer Motors said “Turath, the Arabic word for heritage, is a tribute to the UAE, which is a symbol of peace, modernity, and tradition in the Arab World. Inspired by the ‘Year of Tolerance’, the Ford Expedition Turath has been customised and designed in-house to reflect the heritage of the great young, modern, and tolerant nation that the UAE is today.”

There are a few highlighting cues that flaunt the vehicle’s UAE-exclusive design. A red and black horizontal stripe running under the windows depicts the colour stripes of the country’ flag. The exterior of the car also features a UAE flag and an Expedition badging. The rear liftgate gets an outline of the flag’s colour of the country and the C-pillar showcase a printed emblem displaying UAE’s founding fathers. 

The Expedition looks bold from the face and the matte finish over the bumper, fog lamp housings, etc looks alluring. There are also side steps for passenger’s convenience. Getting inside, we get an infotainment panel, comfortable seats, and a bunch of comfort offering modules. The car’s theme also ingresses inside. The headrests feature pattern embroidery that takes the shape of UAE’s founding fathers along with a UAE flag. A custom badge of the founding fathers of the nation also makes its way on the glove box. 

As for pricing, one can own this tribute model from Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors across the UAE by paying a sum of AED 286,181 including VAT.
