2026 Toyota RAV4 First Look, Gets Modern Interiors

Abu Dhabi : Toyota has given a quick look of the interior of the sixth-generation RAV4 with new teaser photos.

• The teaser image looks reminiscent of the spy shots that appeared online a few months back.
• The interiors have been thoroughly revised with a large infotainment screen, updated steering and possibly a space for a head-up display.
• The engine is expected to be the same 2.5L hybrid petrol engine that develops 225 hp.

The 2026 Toyota RAV4, set to be the sixth-generation model, has been shown for the first time before its global launch. Toyota has not officially called this the next RAV4, but the teaser looks like the prototype seen earlier. The images released by Toyota USA give a preview of the new interior design for the sixth-generation RAV4. 

2026 Toyota RAV4 – Interior Highlights

Included in the teaser is a redesigned cabin with the front row seats, which are only partly visible, now featuring a new mix of light and dark colours. The seat designs also seem improved for more comfort. The dashboard image shows a new, cleaner look with a large digital cockpit. It includes a navigation mode and a big infotainment screen, which might support more advanced wireless features.

Toyota has also updated the steering wheel and stalks to make them more comfortable to use. In the shared image, there’s a blank space ahead of the instrument panel. This area is likely meant for a head-up display (HUD).

2026 Toyota RAV4 – Styling Changes

The images released so far only give a faint glimpse of the SUV's exterior. You'll need to look closely to see any details, as Toyota isn't sharing much about its new family SUV’s style or engine options at this stage. The outdoor photos show two different cars on city streets. One of the shapes is seen driving on a snowy road, while the other is moving through the city. 

If you look carefully, these shapes look very much like the spy shots of the RAV4 test car that appeared online a few months ago. The look of the urban crossover is expected to change a lot. Toyota plans to give the new RAV4 a fresh design, much like what they did with other big SUVs in the family like the new Land Cruiser Prado.

2026 Toyota RAV4 - Engine and Performance

There are currently no details available about the engine, specifications, or how the vehicle performs. However, the new model will likely use the existing 2.5-litre petrol and hybrid engine that makes 225hp. The RAV4’s all-wheel-drive version, which is popular among drivers tackling tough terrain, will probably stay the same in the new generation.

2026 Toyota RAV4 – Launch in UAE and price

The teaser vehicle is set to be fully revealed on May 20. If this is the 2026 Toyota RAV4, it should go on sale in the US by the end of this year. The launch in the UAE is likely to happen sometime in 2026. Since the model hasn't been updated in a long time, the price of the 2026 RAV4 in the UAE will probably be higher than the current models, which range from AED 99,900 to AED 139,900.
