2020 Porsche 911 Belgian Legend Edition revealed

German luxury automobile manufacturer, Porsche has launched the 911 Carrera 4S Belgian Legend Edition to honor Jacques Bernard “Jacky” Ickx, the legendary race car driver. Production of the car will be limited to just 75 units and will sport exclusive touches to the interior and exterior. The Belgian Legend Edition is also the first car of its kind to spawn from the 992-generation Porsche.

Ickx had won the 24 Hours of Le Mans six times, four of which came driving a Porsche car. The company is now paying tribute to the racer by exclusively dedicating a special Carrera 4S to him.

Exclusive features in the 2020 Belgian Legend Edition include a unique color scheme that pays homage to the white-blue helmet which Ickx used during his illustrious racing career. Porsche has titled the color as ‘X Blue’. The 21-inch and 20-inch alloy wheel combination also get the same color with laser engraved, white accents.

Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur has lent a number of add-ons and more exclusive detailing to the car’s interior. That aside, experts from Style Porsche and D’letern have provided enough exclusivity to the car to justify its billing as a limited edition vehicle.

The 911 Belgian Legend Edition comes with a bespoke badge on the driver-side B-pillar. It has Ickx’s signature along with the Belgian flag. The car doesn’t have any changes to its aerodynamics probably because there’s no such need in this particular version of the 911 Carrera 4S.

The special nods also extend to the fancy leather-wrapped central armrest which has a facsimile version of the racing legend’s autograph. The same facsimile signature can be found on the car’s key fob. The doors, seats and the dashboard get hand-finished black leather trim with X-shaped grey stitching. The vehicle has carbon-fiber Belgian Legend Edition sill plates and 911 embossing on the headrests.

The 911 Carrera 4S Belgian Legend Edition will be sold only in Belgium by Porsche importer D'ieteren. While the Stuttgart-headquartered company has not disclosed the price of the car, sources suggest that it is likely to be pegged over €131,381 which is the Carrera 4S Coupe’s entry-level price in the Belgian market.
