Skoda Elroq RS

The Skoda Elroq RS is the brand’s newest electric car. While some might classify the car as an SUV, it’s a bit of a crossover and conventionally it’s more of a hatchback. That said, it being a hatchback doesn’t make the car any less exciting, for it’s powered by a solid dual motor setup, one that delivers as much as nearly 680Nm of torque.

Price in UAE

While the exact Skoda Elroq RS price in UAE hasn’t been revealed, the car could very well be priced around the AED 80,000-90,000 mark. That said, more details will only be available once Skoda brings the car here officially. 

Variants 

There will only be one Skoda Elroq RS variant here in the UAE and that will be the standard trim, one that is powered by Skoda’s 84kWh motor. 

Engine & Performance 

The Skoda Elroq RS engine churns out a total power of around 250kW, making this a solid 340 hHP car. Add to that the fact that its motor also makes nearly a colossal 680Nm. That means the Skoda Elroq RS is punching a lot above its weight in terms of output. Please note that powering the Elroq RS are two electric motors and the 250kW figure is the combined one. 

And yes, if that feels familiar, it’s the setup previously seen in the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX. 

Safety

The Skoda Elroq RS features a whole suite of safety bits. Passenger airbags, EBD, seat belt warning, height adjustable seats, cameras all around, anti lock braking system and obviously central locking, the car ticks all of the basic features that are expected from a car of this segment. 

And adding to the long list, there’s also parking sensors, an engine immobilizer, lane change indicator, door ajar warning as well as speed sensing door locks. In sum, the Elroq RS is feature-loaded exactly in a way that other Skoda cars are. 

Features & Specifications

The Skoda Elroq RS specifications are just as packed too. A touch screen Bluetooth-compatible TFT console, USB charging ports, auxiliary outputs, speakers, Apple carplay as well as Android auto. 

The Skoda Elroq RS exterior isn’t something one would necessarily associate with Skoda cars. The Elroq RS is sharp, edgy and a bit polarising. While some will swear by this futuristic design language, some might think it’s a bit much. That said, the multiple RS badges the car proudly shows off all over its body still cannot be ignored at all. 

The Skoda Elroq RS interior isn’t disappointing but isn’t something to absolutely love as well. It feels premium enough for this price. 

Why choose the Skoda Elroq RS? 

The Skoda Elroq RS 2025 is another sensible car from Skoda. But before the brand brings its car, it’ll have to prove that its new platform, the one which powers the Elroq RS, is a reliable one. And as seen with multiple modern day cars, newer platforms can give some reliability issues, at least in their initial stages. Once they do that, the Elroq RS is quite a nice car, one that can be happily recommended.
