Genesis GV 60

The interior of the 2024 Genesis GV60 is as striking as the exterior. The car integrates some cool features, like the enter-console gear selector that flips upside-down when in park. It appears as a crystal ball. The GV60 comes with a facial recognition system that allows the driver to unlock and start the car without a key. There's a biometric fingerprint reader for keyless entry. Materials used in the cabin have a sophisticated yet unstuffy look and feel. The blue leather trim gets yellow piping that adds a pop of colour and flair. The 2024 Genesis GV60 comes with two responsive 12.3-inch touchscreen units. There's a separate climate control screen. 

The 2024 Genesis GV60 has a rather quirky yet stylish design. The car borrows styling elements from other Genesis models but manages to make its own statement and intent by ditching the brand's traditional trapezoidal grille. Instead, there's a smooth surface with a less prominent grille that's mounted low across the front bumper. It forges the style of a typical no-corner aeropod. The overall styling is likely to attract polarizing opinions. From the outside, the car may appear weirdly proportional. The flowing down roof conforms to current crossover styling. The car gets, what Genesis call, two-line headlamps. The dual-stacked, slim lightbars frame the bulging front end. The taillights have an identical shape but get even more severely angled endings. The roofline gets a 'lightning bolt' trim. The rest of the rear end is rather plain. The car runs on 20-inch alloy wheels

The 2024 Genesis GV60 gets predictive suspension that scans the road ahead for bumps and potholes and prepares the car to absorb the impact. Some of the harder road imperfections are mildly felt inside the cabin. The cabin itself isn't much spacious as the GV70 or the GV80. The oval-shape roofline may make ingress and egress a bit difficult for taller riders. The floor-mounted battery also eats into the cabin space. There's still sufficient legroom on the rear seat. But things may get uncomfortable for taller riders, compounded by the hard-back front seats. All seats get heating function. The car is suitable for carrying four occupants. Accommodating three adults on the rear seat will be tough. The automatic climate-control offers fast cooling. The car comes with 432 litres of boot space which is pretty decent. Folding the rear seat expands the boot space to 1,550 litres. There's also 20 litres of stowage space under the bonnet, alongside a front boot.

The 2024 Genesis GV60 is equipped with two permanent magnet motors that produce a combined output of 483PS/700Nm. The motors are powered by a liquid-cooled 77.44kWh lithium-ion battery. The car comes with a 10.9kW onboard charger. The Genesis GV60 makes for a nice daily commuting car. On twisty roads the car doesn't feel much tied down. But thanks to the neutral balance, and a more naturally weighted steering wheel, the 2024 Genesis GV60 is fun to drive. At lower speeds, the drive becomes a bit fidgety.

The 2024 Genesis GV60 comes with all-round cameras that eliminate almost all blind spots. The safety equipment is impressive and comes with lane-keep assist, smart cruise control, blind spot monitoring, and forward collision avoidance. Other features include automated emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. The car got 88 percent score for safety assistance technology in European crash tests.

The 2024 Genesis GV80 is an expensive car in the electric crossover segment. Its tech-rich and comes with a number of driver-assist features. While the cabin has a premium feel, it's less practical in terms of space. Travelling comfort isn't high as the Genesis EV G80. But the Genesis GV80 is still a worthy vehicle for those who want to keep running costs low.
