Audi E-tron GT

The Audi e-Tron GT looks stylish and sophisticated from the inside as well, with its cabin having no unnecessary visual drama on showcase. Everything in the cabin looks well-placed and easy to the eyes, with the e-Tron GT capable of seating five people with ease. However, the sloping roofline eats up a bit of the headroom at the rear. The cabin of the e-Tron GT also feels distinctive with the combination of leather and leatherette, while the centre console is tilted towards the driver, making the cabin look driver-centric. 

Behind the flat-bottom, fully-electrically-adjustable, multi-functional steering wheel, the e-Tron GT gets the Audi virtual cockpit which is a full-TFT instrument console, sitting within a hexagonal housing. Finished in a unique synthetic bronze gold textured layer, the central layer of the dashboard here houses touchscreen infotainment system in the middle, which is slightly tilted towards the driver and serves as a window to the MMI navigation plus with MMI touch response. It also is a screen for the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bang & Olufsen audio system with premium 3D sound and Audi smartphone interface.

In this fully-loaded trim, the Audi e-Tron GT also gets a few top-of-the-line features like e-Tron sports sound, ambient lighting, electrically-adjustable and heated front sport seats with memory function for the driver’s seat, three-zone automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, and cruise control.

An electric car that looks future-ready without going overboard in its overall look – that’s how Audi has designed the e-Tron GT. The car looks sleek, stylish and futuristic, but not at the cost of looking too polarized, which is the case with many of the other high-end EVs. The Audi e-Tron GT has got the right proportions and stance which make it a planted grand tourer ready to take on long distances. 

The front profile of the Audi e-Tron GT features a closed grille in the middle, which like the grille in the other ICE models from Audi, has a hexagonal design and stretches to the bottom of the front bumper. Here, the grille comes with thick black surrounds, which also stretches towards the trapezoidal stretched headlamps, while engulfing them. The headlamps here are cool-looking Matrix LED units, which feature Audi’s laser light technology, along with dynamic lighting schemes and turn indicators. The corners of the front bumper of the e-Tron GT also have vertical air passages within them.

From the side, the Audi e-Tron GT feels planted with a low ground clearance, long wheelbase and widened stance, with the sloping roofline and large 21-inch wheels further making it look even more planted. While the wheels have cutting-edge aero design making it instantly recognizable as an electric vehicle, the wheel arches above them have a slight flared design with curved look. The sloping roofline also houses the large and slanted windscreen, and ends up at the wide boot lid which accommodates the wide-stretched LED tail lamps, which looks visually appealing with their dynamic lighting and the LED connecting light bar between them.

The Audi e-Tron GT justifies its grand tourer tag with highlights like a long wheelbase and width, lowered ground clearance and large 21-inch wheels, all of which give it a planted stance and allows the e-Tron GT to hold its grounds firmly. Adding more stability to the e-Tron GT is the presence of Quattro all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension, combined with multiple drive and suspension modes on offer.

The Audi e-Tron GT sources its power from two electric motors, with one each mounted on front and rear. This dual motor setup in the e-Tron GT produces 476 bhp of maximum power and 630 Nm of maximum torque, while enables the car to cover the 0-100 kmph sprint in 4.5 seconds. However, the Audi e-Tron GT also comes with a boost mode, which shoots up the performance levels of the car. With the boost mode, the e-Tron GT claims 530 bhp of maximum power and can do 0-100 kmph run in 4.1 seconds. The Audi e-Tron GT has a top speed of 245 kmph and claims a maximum driving range of 540 km from its 93.4 kWh lithium-ion battery.
