Toyota introduces 2024 Yaris Hybrid in Europe

ABU DHABI: Toyota has introduced the new 2024 Yaris Hybrid in Europe. It comes with a more powerful drivetrain option and enhanced assistance technologies. The sales of the new Toyota Yaris hybrid will start in the third quarter of 2023 in Europe. 

The mid-life updates to the 2024 Toyota Yaris in Europe bring mild visual tweaks, larger widescreen interior displays, a more powerful petrol-electric hybrid system, and improved safety features. There are no major changes when it comes to aesthetics.

The 2024 Toyota Yaris hybrid has a new Hybrid 130 powertrain featuring the same 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine as the current fourth-generation Yaris. However, it has been paired with a more powerful electric motor, which results in higher levels of output i.e. 130 PS and 185 Nm.

The 2024 Toyota Yaris hybrid utilizes an E-CVT gearbox to achieve a swift 0 to 96 kmph in a mere 9.2 seconds. This model comes with a slight upshift in CO2 emissions. But the company says the car still retains its best-in-class status by offering a range between 96 and 116 g/km.

The new hybrid engine will be offered in the existing GR Sport trims and the new Europe-spec Premiere Edition. The Premiere Edition is the new upgraded Yaris’ flagship variant packed with tons of impressive features. 

Inside, it will feature the following amenities:

• A nine or 10.5-inch central touchscreen and seven or 12.3-inch digital instrument panel.
• A tweaked infotainment system for a more reactive and intuitive interface.
• Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard.

The arrival of the all-new 2024 Toyota Yaris Hybrid is not expected in the UAE anytime soon.
