Toyota Expands BEV Lineup in Europe with New Models

Abu Dhabi : Toyota is expanding its battery electric vehicle (BEV) lineup in Europe, introducing new models across key segments. This marks a major step in its multi-pathway strategy for carbon neutrality.

Toyota’s Electric Expansion in Europe

Toyota is making bold moves in the European BEV market, strengthening its position across key vehicle segments. As part of its multi-pathway strategy for carbon neutrality by 2035, the company has revealed new production-ready electric models. These vehicles build on Toyota’s previous concept cars, ensuring a competitive edge in the growing EV market.

By the end of 2025, Toyota will have a refreshed BEV lineup targeting the core B, C, and D-SUV segments, all designed with Toyota’s signature reliability, durability, and energy-efficient performance.

The New Toyota BEVs for 2025

Toyota is set to introduce three major BEV models in 2025:

• Toyota bZ4X: The updated D-SUV will feature two battery options (57.7 kWh and 73.1 kWh) and more powerful motors with up to 343 DIN hp. It will also offer a new 22 kW onboard charger and enhanced software features.
• Urban Cruiser: A compact SUV based on the 2023 Urban SUV Concept, available with 49 kWh and 61 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery packs and a slide-adjustable rear seat for added space.
• Toyota C-HR+: A new all-electric C-segment SUV with coupe-inspired styling, available in two battery sizes (57.7 kWh and 77 kWh) and a power output of up to 343 DIN hp.

All models will retain Toyota’s well-known quality and reliability, backed by a Battery Care Program covering up to 10 years or 1 million kilometers, subject to an annual battery health check.

Toyota’s Long-Term BEV Strategy

Toyota is not stopping in 2025. The company has ambitious plans to expand its BEV lineup further, with six new electric models expected by 2026. These upcoming vehicles will follow a traditional naming strategy to maintain brand recognition among customers.

Beyond passenger cars, Toyota is also exploring electric versions of iconic models. The Land Cruiser Se concept, unveiled in 2023, demonstrates the company’s vision for electrifying its legendary off-road SUV.
