Skoda and UTAC team up for all-new Kodiaq Armoured

ABU DHABI: Skoda has come up with the Kodiaq Armoured, a joint project between Skoda UK and British-based security specialists UTAC Special Vehicles. This model follows the footsteps of the successful Superb Armoured, which has sold nearly 500 units globally since its launch in 2018.

The Kodiaq Armoured is certified to PAS 301 and PAS 300 Civilian Armoured Vehicle standards. To obtain PAS 301 certification a vehicle needs to pass rigorous tests for speed, handling, payload, acceleration, and braking. This vehicle can endure over 200 rounds of assessments and ammunition for blast resistance on the underfloor, sides, and roof. The Kodiaq Armoured meets all these criteria and provides its occupants exceptional protection.

The Kodiaq Armoured comes with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that serves as a “communications hub” with controls and GPS for sirens and emergency lights. To maintain the agility of a standard SUV it includes upgraded brakes and suspension. Each wheel comes with an outstanding tyre retention system to keep the tyre during deflation on the rim. Powertrain options remain the same as the standard model.

The Kodiaq Armoured comes with a five-seat configuration. Its boot space is over 2,000 litres. Like the Superb Armoured, you can easily choose from various powertrain options, including the four-wheel drive.
