At the 2025 Shanghai Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz Vans pulled the covers off its latest concept, the Vision V, a showpiece that boldly hints at the brand’s future in luxury electric mobility. This is not just another van—it’s a high-tech, high-luxury reimagination of what people movers can be in the EV era.

Exterior: A Minimalist Statement with Presence

With the Vision V, Mercedes-Benz isn’t just updating its van design—it’s transforming it. The exterior carries a sleek, flowing shape with chrome detailing and sculpted surfaces. It rides on massive 24-inch wheels with illuminated louvres, while the iconic three-pointed star dominates the front fascia. The overall look is both futuristic and elegant, keeping the minimalist language yet commanding attention on the road.

Interior: Lounge on Wheels

Inside, the Vision V embraces the “Private Lounge” concept. A retractable 65-inch 4K cinema screen rises from the floor, turning the cabin into an immersive entertainment space. Passengers are surrounded by 42 Dolby Atmos speakers, including those built into the seats and ceiling, with side windows doubling as interactive displays.

Luxury materials dominate the interior: crystal white Nappa leather, open-pore burr wood, and silk accents define the design. Rear passengers access the cabin via a large portal door with a lit-up step. Once inside, they are met with reclining lounge seats, a glass partition for privacy, and a centre console that acts as a display cabinet and even a chessboard.
