Kia EV9 earns 5 stars in Euro NCAP safety testing

ABU DHABI: Kia's all-new EV9 has received the highest safety rating in the safety test conducted by Euro NCAP, the leading safety testing organization in Europe. This demonstrates the EV's top-notch safety credentials. 

The Kia EV9 underwent rigorous testing across four different categories, securing top-level scores: 88% for child occupant protection, 84% for adult occupant protection, 83% in the safety assist category, and 76% for vulnerable road users.

The Euro NCAP appreciated the Kia EV9's passenger compartment in frontal impact tests. The EV9 achieved maximum scores in the side barrier test, providing exceptional protection for passengers' and drivers' critical body areas. Additionally, the Euro NCAP praised the Kia EV9's advanced eCall system.

The Kia EV9 achieved top scores in child occupant tests, effectively protecting child-sized dummies' critical body parts. The safety rating agency aslo appreciated the EV9's flexible airbags and advanced child presence detection system. 

Also, the automatic emergency braking system of the SUV proved to be very effective in the tests. In most tests, it successfully avoided collisions and responded appropriately to other vehicles. Euro NCAP also praised the EV 9's lane-keeping assistant, automatically correcting the path of the vehicle when drifting from its lane. 

After achieving the five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, the Kia EV9's position has solidified in the electric SUV segment. With its advanced features and exceptional safety scores, the EV9 offers a safe driving experience.
