IIHS awards Audi Q5 with 'Top Safety Pick' rating

ABU DHABI: The Audi Q5 has received the 'Top Safety Pick' accolade from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety for showcasing its phenomenal safety performance. This recognition testifies to the dedication of Audi to provide some of the safest vehicles that prioritize crashworthiness and occupant protection. 

The judges were impressed by the new Audi Q5’s crash avoidance technologies. These features enhance the confidence of the driver and mitigate collision risks, leading to secure driving experiences.

Through rigorous evaluations including crash avoidance technologies assessments, crash tests, and headlight performance scrutiny, the Audi Q5 was awarded a "Top Safety Pick" rating. The evaluation criteria have been updated and now stringent measures are used to evaluate the performance of the vehicles. The Audi Q5 demonstrated exceptional performance in these tests showcasing its dedication to safety.

In the new Q5, Audi has introduced advanced matrix LED headlamps, enhancing safety with the help of ground-breaking high beam functions. 

The Audi Q5 S Line TFSI is equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo gasoline engine that generates around 265 horsepower and 370 Nm torque, while the S Line TDI is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine that produces around 204 horsepower and 400 Nm torque. Both these versions of the new Q5 Audi are paired with a Quattro all-wheel-drive system and seven-speed S-tronic transmission for optimal performance.
