Hyundai showcases NPX1 Concept car at Tokyo Auto Salon 2024

ABU DHABI: Hyundai Motor Company unveiled the Ioniq 5 N NPX1 concept car at this year's Tokyo Auto Salon. This concept car is inspired by the high-performance model of the award-winning Ioniq 5 N. This showcases the commitment of Hyundai to pushing the boundaries of EV performance and design. 

The NPX1 as a concept car embodies the vision of the carmaker for the future of electric mobility. It offers an insight into the potential advancements and upgrades that may be integrated in the near future into the Ioniq 5 N. As the automotive landscape is transforming rapidly and technology is evolving, Hyundai is trying its best to remain at the forefront with these innovative concept models. 

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N NPX1 featured N-specific enhancements in the show including lightweight carbon wheels, racing bucket seats, carbon exterior elements, Alcantara interior, and high-performance brakes. 

The parts equipped with the IONIQ 5 N NPX1 concept are prototypes for now, but before being rolled out in 2024 they will be developed further. Hyundai N will offer N Performance Parts for all N models, starting with the award-winning high-performance car, Ioniq 5 N. 

As showcased with the 'NPX1' concept, Hyundai is aiming to be the leader in high-performance EV tuning. Through over-the-air updates, the carmaker is venturing into software customization.  both tuning parts and software customization via over-the-air updates. It will introduce vehicle and sound calibration by over-the-air updates. This strategic move will solidify its position in the rapidly evolving high-performance electric vehicles landscape.
