The event celebrates an 18% year-on-year rise in truck sales during the first half of 2025. GM Middle East, with this performance, has recorded its best first-half sales since 2017.

Trucks now make up a 46% market share for GM in the Gulf and this reflects how important Chevrolet trucks and GMC trucks are on the rise for practical and lifestyle vehicles.

One of the main highlights from GM Middle East is the youth and women are growing among pickup buyers. The GMC Sierra has become a popular first-time choice among Emiratis aged 20 to 29. Female ownership has grown, more than doubling over the past three years. In 2024, women represented 9% of all customers of GM trucks in the GCC, with Kuwait leading at 13%, followed by the UAE at 9% and Qatar at 7%.

According to Furrukh Jawaid, CMO of GM Africa and Middle East: “There has been some revolution in off-roading in the Gulf, from a skill into a cultural tradition.” Youth now makes up 35% of the customer base of GM.

Rohan Fernandes, Managing Director of Commercial Operations, also said that pickups are now “expressions of style, performance and heritage.” from just being purely functional models back then.
