Alfa Romeo Stelvio 2019 now comes with rear wheel drive

ABU DHABI: The Alfa Romeo Stelvio gave its first appearance last year. It has always been an all-wheel-drive vehicle, and it was the only system available for connecting the transmissions to the drive spindles. But the 2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio comes with rear-wheel-drive now alongside the AWD.

The four-wheel-drive Stelvio goes from 0-100 kmph in 5.7 seconds prior attaining a top speed of approximately 280 kmph. Owners of this car can equip their vehicle with an 8.8-inch infotainment system. It is also possible to accessorise the car with driver aid, convenience and many other features. For the rear-wheel-drive Alfa Romeo Stelvio, a sports edition is also available. This edition comes with colored brake callipers, aluminium pedals, 19-inch alloys and the list goes on.

The 2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio will have a Q2 badge implying its rear-wheel-drive. Whereas the Q4 badge signifies a four-wheel-drive and is available only with the base engine. The Stelvio contains a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol unit gives out 280 hp and 415 Nm of torque. The Stelvio is tuned with an 8-speed automatic gearbox that is connected with the turbocharged petrol unit to give a thrilling ride to the driver.

The 2019 Stelvio model will be comparatively cheaper and will be lighter in weight as well. This is because the rear-wheel-drive system cuts 50 kgs of the overall mass from the Stelvio. It goes without saying that the lighter weight will mean efficient working of the fuel functions.

As for the price and accessibility of the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio in the UAE and GCC nothing is yet confirmed. So, all that the enthusiasts and admirers can do is wait.
