2024 Kia Sorento facelift revealed with new look and more tech

ABU DHABI: The fourth-gen Kia Sorento is set for a mid-cycle update in the home market. Kia has shared the first official photos of the upgraded mid-size SUV, with the full reveal expected in mid-August.

The Kia Sorento facelift features a sleek and smart design enhancing the SUV's appeal. The first few official images show that Kia has revamped the front fascia to fit in T-shaped headlights with an upper daytime running light strip on the sides of the Kia logo. The badge has been removed from the grille and has been repositioned at the hood's bottom.

A few other revisions include:

• Restyled rear bumper toward the rear, connected clusters on the slightly reworked LED tail lights, and an extended skid plate 
• The redesigned bumper and hood give the upgraded SUV a more aggressive look than its predecessor
• The new Sorento is also equipped with brand-new alloy wheels and new Kia emblems
• Kia has introduced three new color options in addition to the previous colors, including   Volcanic Sand Brown, Interstellar Gray, and Cityscape Green
• The dashboard has also been updated with a new Panoramic curved display that features two 12.3-inch screens for infotainment and instrument cluster

• One of the main upgrades to the new Sorento is the fingerprint authentication system on the central console. This feature can be used to activate valet mode, start the car and make payments conveniently and securely
• The quilted leather upholstery gives the cabin a premium finish

As of now, no mechanical details have been disclosed about the 2024 Kia Sorento. Kia is expected to reveal the same in mid-August when the car will be officially revealed in South Korea.
