Jaecoo J7 Phev

The Jaecoo J7 PHEV is a midsize plug-in hybrid SUV launched globally in early 2025, entering the UAE market soon. This five-seater combines the J7’s contemporary SUV styling, with boxy proportions, full-width LED brake light, flush door handles and 19-inch aero wheels, with hybrid-specific design cues like hidden exhausts, PHEV badging and aerodynamically optimised mirrors. The cabin features a panoramic sunroof, 14.8-inch vertical touchscreen, 10.25-inch digital cluster, leatherette with ambient lighting and a cinema-folding tonneau cover that doubles as a projection screen. 

Launch

Officially launched in the UAE in mid-2025 via authorised Jaecoo distributors, with previews at local motor shows. The books will start soon. 

Price

The Jaecoo J7 Phev price in UAE is estimated at around AED 180,000–200,000.

Powertrain

The J7 PHEV will use Jaecoo’s ‘Super Hybrid System’ comprising a 1.5 L TGDi engine (143 hp, 215 Nm) and a 150 kW (204 hp), 310 Nm electric motor, producing a combined output of 347 hp and 525 Nm of torque. 

It will be paired to an 18.3 kWh BYD LFP battery and a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT), with front-wheel-drive configuration.

Electric & Combined Range

It will offer a pure electric range of 106 km (NEDC) and up to 1,300 km combined range using petrol + electric. 

Performance & Charging

It is capable of accelerating from 0–100 km/h in about 8.5 s with a top speed of 180 km/h. Also, it will support 6.6 kW AC charging (0–100% in 3.3 hrs) and 40 kW DC fast charging (30–80% in 20 mins).

Includes V2L 3.3 kW output, cinema tonneau projection feature, remote start with pre-cooling, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, 360° camera, ventilated/heated seats with cooling center console, panoramic sunroof, and an 8-speaker Sony audio system. 

Safety & ADAS

It is equipped with Level 2.5 ADAS featuring adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane departure prevention, blind-spot detection, driver monitoring, 540° camera, six to eight airbags, ESC, ABS/EBD and TPMS.

Rivals

It will be positioned competitively against plug-in hybrids like the Chery Tiggo 9 and Soueast S06, while offering unique tech amenities and strong range figures.
