Being an affordable hatchback, Spark offers you sufficient headroom and legroom. However, the front and rear seats are uncomfortable, also the driver seat can only be adjusted in two way and lacks the lateral support too. Plus, the rear seats are packed and doesn’t offer adequate space for adults. The lack of space in the rear and moderate-quality seats makes Spark an uncomfortable hatchback for long rides. Besides this, Spark comes installed with poor quality of sound insulation material, which eventually makes it easier for outside wind and noise to penetrate the cabin. However, the cabin is designed sleek and is furnished with good material that gives it a pleasant cabin theme. Furthermore, inside the cabin, you’ll get standard infotainment system, single-zone manual air conditioning, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, leather-wrapped steering wheels with mounted controls, 4 speakers on LS trims, and 6 speakers on LT trims. 

The new Spark features fresh exterior design and now comes with an updated front face that goes well with the styling of the compact hatchbacks. With Spark, you’ll get standard tinted windows, body-colored side mirrors, Daytime Running Lights, and bi-functional halogen lamps that harmonize strongly with the black finished honeycomb front grille. However, the fog lamps exclusively come standard with the LT grades. With the minimum edges around the body, the Spark resembles as a conventional hatchback, in the rear the uniquely designed taillights are furnished with the extended curve on the sides, which further enhances the side and rear looks of this hatchback. Apart from this, you’ll get the 14-inch steel wheels as standard in the LS Base, LS, and LT Base. Whereas, the LT High Spec grade comes equipped with 15-inch aluminum wheels.

When it comes to the ride quality of the Spark, it balances well over bumps at lower speeds and is a perfect match for town rides. However, the shoddy seats diminish the comfort and turn uncomfortable while travelling long trips. But, on the handling front, Spark is smooth to drive and handle hatchback. The small size of this car makes it easier for you to park it in packed spaces. Also, the short turning radius makes it manageable to take sharp turns and navigate without any hustle in clogged roads. However, on highways, while driving at high speeds, you might find handling a little floaty. 

On the power front, Chevrolet Spark hatchback comes standard with the1.4L four-cylinder engine that can produce a maximum power of 100 hp and peak torque of 127 Nm. This hatchback might look small and underpowered, but it can sprint from 0–100 km/hr in just 12 seconds, and can attain a top speed of 170 km/hr. Though, the engine is not punchy enough to get along with the highway trips. But, it’s economical and delivers genuine combined mileage of 19–20 km/l. The base grade comes with 5-speed manual transmission, whereas the rest of the grades are mated with CVT. 

Chevrolet Spark is equipped with 4 wheel antilock front disc brakes and drum brakes in the rear. Though as per the size of this hatchback, the braking capacity is great. Spark is built with high-strength steel that ensures the safety of the passengers. Also, the cabin is designed in such a way that in case of a collision, it will spread the crash energy away from the passengers. Furthermore, in terms of the safety features, you’ll get dual airbags for front passengers, rear park assist, StabiliTrak stability control system with Brake Assist, tire pressure monitoring system, and anti-roll bars front suspension. 

Spark is a reasonable hatchback that lets you explore the big world at a very cost-effective price. It gets more affordable with a low cost of maintenance and an extraordinary fuel efficiency of 19–20 km/l. It is a good performer, and if you are looking for a daily commuter car than Spark is a perfect match for your daily driving needs. It comes equipped with the latest infotainment system and offers phone connectivity features. However, the exterior design is attractive but looks traditional, plus the well-designed interiors are also a bit uncomfortable, especially for the rear passengers the legroom is tight. In addition to this, the cargo capacity is also muffled when compared with its rivals.
