It has only been a month with the BMW i8, but I seem to have a special connection with it. I enjoy driving it, and its extended battery life enhances its practicality. The BMW i8 is an absolutely stunning car from the brand and it has surpassed all my expectations over the past two months of driving it. The car is stunner in terms of looks with a menacing stance and super bold and sporty appearance. The car is not just bold and aggressive in terms of appearance but also delivers mind-blowing performance with exceptional engine refinement, power delivery and thrilling and smooth acceleration at all speeds right from standstill.

It has been a childhood dream of mine to purchase a BMW and I had been saving up for this cause for many years now. The BMW i8 is a model that will make each person look at it and admire the perfection with which it has been made. The styling exudes a classic feeling while also looking like it has come straight out of an action-packed film. But, the looks are not the only reason why the world is gaga over this car. Another reason is what is there under the hood which is a 1.5 litre turbocharged which produces 228bhp and 320Nm of torque and that is not it! The engine has a 7.1 kWh electric motor which adds 129bhp and 270Nm of torque totaling the value to 362bhp and 570Nm of torque. Hence, this car at its optimum can give an overwhelming mileage of 47kmpl. The interior is as breathtaking as the exterior and each unit in this vehicle is centered towards the driver.

Feels nice owning a piece of the future. This BMW i8 is my third car which I use occasionally on the weekend. I bought this car a month ago and still haven’t refuelled. The hybrid powertrain ensures that I always have enough fuel in the tank while the coolness associated with the scissor doors is still there. In spite of so many supercars around, this one still gets the looks because of its paint schemes and the fact that it is very silent. Inside and out. I am currently getting 25kmpl. What more could one ask for from a supercar? The first service is due in a couple of days and I will update the review with all the details once I am done with it. Should be a good one I feel. BMW, I am coming.

Why would I buy this car? Because it is not an out and out super car. It has the performance of a super car, the looks of a super car and of course he price of a super car. But it can be used every day. You can use it for your commute if you want. But be ready to attract a lot of attention on the way. Not only does it looks futuristic, even the doors open upwards. The interior is straight from the future too. Performance is mind blowing. The way it catches speed is unnerving for the common everyday driver. The seating is low and handling is precise. And of course, it gives phenomenal mileage if you are looking for that. But it’s not the most practical car. Here in UAE you may never actually drive it on electric mode. Otherwise if you can afford it, you can easily use it every day.
