Bestune B70

The 2024 Bestune B70 has a plush cabin that stands up to competition from premium midsized European and Japanese sedans. The car gets leather seats and upholstery and materials used on the dashboard are soft-touch. Some hard plastics have been used in the obvious places like the door insides. The dashboard is dominated by a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. The display is clear and crisp. There's also a 7.0-inch driver's information display unit. The infotainment unit gets multiple connectivity options including Bluetooth. The car gets a dual-zone automatic climate control. The multifunction flat-bottom steering wheel is leather-wrapped and gets a toggle-shift mechanism. The cabin gets 27 storage spaces where almost anything can be stored. 

The 2024 Bestune B70 has a fastback styling that's quite unique for a midsized sedan. Not that it's unpopular but major carmakers no longer make fastback-style sedans. FAW claims that the new design language is 'powerful, pure, and sophisticated'. The car is mounted on the FAW Modular Architecture platform.  The grille sports a borderless design with dense banner elements. It also gets full-width light strips and is flanked by split-type headlights. It lends the car a youthful appearance. The bonnet cover has several raised ribs that enhance the car's sporty aesthetics. On the sides, the 2024 Bestune B70 sports a dual-waistline design. The idea is to add a visual layer with a sporty touch. The 18-inch alloy wheels get a dense-spoke shape. The back gets full-width taillights along with twin exhaust outlets. The updated 2024 Bestune B70 is 45mm longer than its previous version. It has a wheelbase of 2,800mm which is among the biggest in its segment.

The 2024 Bestune B70 is a spacious car for five passengers. The two front seats get a six-way electric adjustment and also enjoy the maximum headroom and legroom. The seats are nicely bolstered. All seats come with soft padding and the higher models get lumbar support. The rear row can accommodate three adults. But taller passengers may find their heads brushing the ceiling, courtesy of the stooping roofline. The suspension system is nicely balanced and absorbs most of the bumps and potholes. Noise insulation in the cabin should have been better. 

The entry-level model of the 2024 Bestune B70 is hauled by a turbocharged, four-cylinder, 2.0-litre petrol engine that produces 220 PS/3440 Nm. The motor is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch. The engine is powerful and responsive. The car is fun to drive and its handling is sporty. The transmission is seamlessly mated to the engine and there's no delay in power delivery. The ride quality is nice and planted on city roads. The steering wheel is nicely balanced and promptly obeys driver commands. On highways, the 2024 Bestune B70 comes across as a stable performer. 

The 2024 Bestune B70 comes with an impressive set of driver-assist features and safety equipment. It gets a 360-degree camera with 3D view and a semi-automatic parking system. Common safety features include parking sensors, blind-spot detection, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and traction control.  

The 2024 Bestune B70 is available in Comfort, Deluxe, Premium, and Limousine trims. It's a comfortable car that comes with a premium cabin. But the Bestune B70 is a bit on the pricier side. Also, it's a relatively new brand in the Emirates market and long-term durability and availability of spares are still under question. But it's still a nice car for those who want a premium midsized sedan.
