For example, families who regularly carry rear passengers on longer drives should look seriously at the EWB, where the extra legroom changes the character of the back seat entirely. The Speed variant makes sense only for buyers who really want the sharper performance and plan to use it, since the standard V8 already covers most real-world driving with room to spare.

Verdict

Over the last few years, we have seen a rapid shift in the choice of cars. The SUV has become the default shape for wealth in this region long before Bentley built one, and that context matters more here than almost anywhere else the Bentayga is sold. Because most buyers in the UAE were never choosing between an SUV and a saloon the way European buyers sometimes still do, they were choosing which brand got to wear the shape they already wanted.

That makes the Bentayga’s job simpler than it looks on paper; it does not need to convert anyone to the SUV format; it only needs to convince a Range Rover or Cullinan buyer that the Bentley wings are worth the switch. On that count, it mostly succeeds.
